Andy With A Van Peterborough

Cost £70 today for 1 man Andy and his van to pick up an item from spalding and deliver to Peterborough. Delivery was within the hour from start to finish and at most 1hr 30 if set off time is included. Pick up was at 7pm, journey 30mins. Your Website says £35hr for 2 men ?? So where was my 2nd man? You took complete advantage of the situation. I had to enlist help at both ends. I rightly expected for the price quoted that 2 people were being hired at £25 an hour. Andy had been informed the item was a heavy corner bench unit for the garden made out of pallets. When I mentioned the expectation of a 2nd person Andy's answer was "You didn't ask! And.... 'it would have cost you more!'! I Sense Andy is more than happy to take advantage of some clients if he thinks he can get away with it. He came across very disinterested, out to make quick easy job of it with little effort or help. It seemed like he was being put out, he went on to suggest leaving it on the drive, thinking dumping it on my neighbours side would be ok and that I could just sort it out in the morning, adding 'no one would steal it overnight' Oblivious! He treated the entire job like he was doing a favour yet I was paying well above the odds at £70 for this honour. No thought for anyone let alone my circumstance and no desire to complete the job in full. Feel completely ripped off!
