North East Piano Movers

Great communication,Moved my beloved piano professionally. Fair price and would definitely recommend.

First of all the good stuff... I messaged Ash and he got back to me quickly and arranged to move our upright piano. I liked him and his colleague and although the equipment was a little rough and ready they moved the piano without any fuss and delivered it into place for us. The price was very reasonable too. Now the bad.. and it was really bad. I noticed a day after the piano was moved that there was damage at the side of the piano at the back in two places. I am almost certain the damage was not there before the move. It seems consistent with the piano not being restrained properly and bumping about during transit. Now, we were moving out of our house and had tenants we know moving in. As it happens they also had a piano to move (back into the same spot our piano was taken from as it happens.) They asked me about piano removal and I told them about Ash and said unfortunately I couldn't recommend them due to the damage to our piano. The new tenants couldn't find anyone else to do it, so they contact Ash who moved their piano for them without any issues. When the piano was delivered I was coincidentally at the house and I mentioned the damage to our piano to Ash. Ash's response was extremely defensive and he maintained that they couldn't possibly have done the damage. He said there was nothing the piano could possible have bumped into, demonstrating the inside of the van. I pointed out that it could easily have been either the bulkhead and the wheel arch, or the floor mounted restraining points if the piano had not been properly restrained (which i believe is the most likely thing.) Ash again repeated that it was "impossible' that they damaged our piano and suggested that I or my children had damaged it. At this point I simply gave up talking to him as it was like speaking to a particularly intransigent brick wall. I wasn't asking for any money back or expecting anything in particular other than to be listened to and treated fairly. Ash completely failed to do either of these things. I think they can do a good job of moving a cheap piano (cheaply) but please be very careful trusting them with anything expensive and if anything goes wrong I wish you better luck than I had in getting a reasonable response from them.

I paid £450 in advance. I sent a detailed email of the situation. They arrived without professional equipment and insufficient workers and just told me they couldn’t help me and left. I am still waiting for my refund a month later after emailing and calling them.

Excellent service, very friendly and professional with utmost care taken with piano and great value for money. I would highly recommend
