Your Man With A Van

Your Man With A Van is a family-run company founded in 2010, with the founder's partner Catriona (Cat) as Co-Director. It operates 66 branches, including one in Nottingham owned by Ian. The Nottingham branch serves NG1, NG2, NG3, NG7 and NG8, and provides house moves, flat clearances, and office relocations.

It has won and been shortlisted for 28 industry awards, was named in the Elite Franchise Top 100, and picked up SME News’ Best Removal Business award. It partners with Defence Discount Service and Blue Light Card.

Professionalism combined with a genuinely friendly manner is the theme that runs through nearly every account of this Nottingham man-and-van operation, led by Ian. Customers describe a service that stays calm and organised under pressure, whether the job involves a single household move, two moves within one week via storage, or shifting a student's belongings from two separate flats into storage between academic years.

Ian and his team are repeatedly praised for arriving when they say they will, working quickly, and protecting furniture and boxes so that nothing arrives damaged. The pricing is described as reasonable and the quoted figure as good value, with no suggestion of surprise charges. Several reviewers highlight how well the crew handled elderly clients who were reluctant to leave home, keeping spirits up while completing the work.

Communication from the first enquiry onwards, care with fragile items, and a willingness to take on awkward or last-minute requests all come up again and again. The team's good humour and patience with customers who were themselves stressed is noted, and piano and delivery work sit alongside standard removals. Several reviewers mention that Ian's colleague was equally helpful and courteous, making the whole day run without a hitch.
