Glasgow VanMan

Glasgow Van Man was established in 2007 by Alan McDonald. The company operates Luton vans, most with tail lifts, as well as long wheel and short wheel based vans. Its services include small removals, courier service, store collection, student moves, business and office moves, long distance service, furniture delivery, and storage.

Heavy furniture moved into new flats and a relocation between Glasgow and Edinburgh are among the jobs reviewers describe, alongside storage and delivery of household goods. A point that comes up often is how swiftly bookings are arranged and how responsive the team proves, with confirmation calls made on the morning of the move. Jim is singled out for careful, professional handling of bulky items and for finishing a move sooner than expected in a single trip, while Sharon and Alan are credited with booking support, friendliness and a readiness to go beyond what was asked.

A handful of customers describe reasonable rates and a straightforward process from first enquiry to completion, with one noting that the service matched the impression given by the company's website. Punctuality is consistently mentioned, as is the care shown to a family member with dementia, and the crew's speed and efficiency are linked to smooth, seamless moves. One job was arranged on only two days' notice, and the team's manner was repeatedly described as professional, kind and helpful. A two-hour session moving furniture to a new flat also features in accounts of the work.
