The Piano Removal Company Ltd

The Piano Removal Company Ltd is a specialist piano removal team based in Bristol. It moves grand and upright pianos, and has experience and specialist equipment for all types of piano removals. The company covers a large area of the South West from Bristol, Bath and Swindon to Exeter and beyond, as well as the Cotswolds, Dorset and right across the UK.

It has been safely moving pianos around Bristol for many years. It has worked in venues such as The Bristol Beacon (formerly Colston Hall) and St. Georges Hall, and worked on Luke Jerram’s Street Piano Project in 2017. The company removes and recycles pianos, recycling 95% of material within a piano.

Bristol customers regularly entrust this firm with moving pianos, and the accounts describe careful, professional work throughout. A recurring theme is the handling of instruments with considerable care, whether a Yamaha U3 being brought up front steps or a baby grand shifted between floors of an old house. Reviewers often mention the confidence and efficiency of the team, noting that tricky hallway turns and awkward staircases were navigated without damage and that the piano was left correctly positioned at the destination.

The most striking episode describes a difficult move that required several attempts, including cutting an opening in a ceiling, before the instrument was successfully relocated, with the crew refusing to abandon the task. Politeness and a professional manner come up often, as does the sense that possessions were in safe hands from start to finish. The service also covers delivery of pianos purchased elsewhere, with one customer describing a piano collected from a shop in Bath and handled with evident care. Customers highlight the determination shown on complex jobs, the clear communication with the team during the work and the tidy result, with the piano placed exactly where it was wanted.
