Clean and secure though this Kings Cross site is, opinions on Safestore London Kings Cross vary across its 723 Google reviews, which still average 4.8. Staff such as Ahmed Fouzi and Conrad are praised for professional, patient help finding the right unit, including for international removals and business storage needs. However, a genuine minority of reviewers describe confusion over cancellation notice periods leading to unexpected charges after vacating, and several separately mention persistent follow-up calls and texts after requesting an online quote, points worth weighing against the otherwise attentive service.

4.8 / 5 · 723 total10/10 experience with Safestore. The whole process is very straightforward, the facility is always clean and it’s very easy to access my unit whenever I need. The staff are super friendly and always happy to answer my many questions. I’d definitely recommend!
Very annoying sales consultants strategies. As soon as you put your information in to receive a storage quote, they will call you multiple times and send text messages to you to chat about your storage quote. Appreciate they are just doing their job but it is quite annoying and makes me not want to use them.
This is a five star hotel for luggage. We were very impressed with the customer service - both before signing up and afterwards, the convenient location in Kings Cross and the space. All was extremely smooth
Clean and secure facility, but my experience with Safestore Kings Cross left me extremely disappointed. When I signed up, I made it clear that I only required storage for one month and specifically asked about the process for vacating the unit. I was told by a member of staff that this had been noted on my account and that the necessary cancellation notice would be handled before my intended move-out date. After I emptied the unit and vacated the storage room, I was informed that no cancellation had been processed and that I was liable for an additional month’s charges (£173.64) due to the notice period requirements. I raised a formal dispute, explaining that I had relied on the information provided by staff when entering into the agreement. The response I received was that the staff member did not recall the conversation and that the written terms and conditions would therefore apply. Despite the dispute being raised immediately, the matter was subsequently referred to a debt collection agency, with the amount claimed increasing to over £260. What is particularly frustrating is that this situation could have been avoided with a clearer and more transparent cancellation process. After reading other reviews, it appears I am not the only customer who has encountered issues relating to notice periods and unexpected charges. The entire experience left me feeling as though the process prioritises collecting additional fees over helping customers successfully close their accounts. Given the number of similar reviews mentioning notice-period issues, Safestore should seriously review whether its cancellation procedures are sufficiently clear and transparent. For anyone planning to use Safestore... beware. The handling of this dispute has left me with very little confidence in the branch’s customer service.
Using SafeStore services has been a convenient and seamless experience as I was able to safely store my belongings on a flexible basis. Both, the picking up and vacating of the unit were very straightforward. Ahmed was very kind and helpful in the process.
Conroy and Raul are very helpful to assist me to rent the storage unit. They offered me the promotion initially. I have the best price and good location for my vacation storage. Safe Store provides many locations in Kingscross area.
Ahmed and Niall went truly above and beyond. Very kind and helpful. I’ve gone through some personal struggles atm with my partner. They both secured my belongings and made me feel safe within literally 2 hours.Thank you, I highly recommend. S.
