Moved to this storage unit while I was between houses and it was so convenient. It saved my skin at the recommendation of my friend and after helping her move out of there I didn’t approach anyone else - the £1 first month deal was a dream and I managed to give notice in time to not have to pay another bill all thanks to the helpful staff.
Cost my daughter money and almost ruined her house move plans. When we arrived to put my daughter's belongings into her pre-booked 2nd floor unit we found that both lifts were broken. There was no way we could carry her boxes etc upstairs. The telephone helpline was a complete waste of time, they said that both lifts had only just broken and an engineer would be out "at some point" to fix them. Other customers were complaining because this was at least the second day that there was no working lift! We were informed by the "help line" that changing to a ground floor unit was too difficult. The entire situation was a nightmare with no real w/e cover. We had well over two hours wasted trying to sort this issue out when time was already tight! We weren't the only ones trying to sort out house moving there that day either. I cannot believe the incompetence and inconsideration shown! The units with red tags in my photos were unlocked and empty ones in just one very small section of the ground floor! BTW the one star I've given them is for actually answering the phone and not for any help or customer service as there wasn't any! Also no disabled access is available to the 2nd floor because the lifts (if working) are for goods only! I don't like giving negative reviews but Shugard wholly deserve my negativity for their terrible customer service
What an excellent storage facility in Cardiff. Rob was a brilliant host and showed us all the workings in a very clear manner. He went through everything and we had absolutely no problems accessing the unit and we are really impressed with the safety and accessibility of the storage unit. Rob is a great asset to Shurgard. Having the app is a game changer for ease of use.
Very helpful staff at Cardiff. Easy to access once we understood the app and good storage facility with excellent flexibility. Really good communication. We appreciated the help we received.
